Easy. Plain and simple. This is easy. I bet you could add some pre-cooked chicken. Or ladle the soup over a baked potato. Or dump the broccoli and add some ground beef and a few more onions to get some of that cheese-burger-noodle chowder. Or…I could go on and on. I also feel the need for some dipping bread. Recipe says this serves 8.
2 cups cooked noodles
1 package (10 oz. size) frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
3 tablespoons chopped onions
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon flour
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (mild or medium)
salt to taste
5 1/2 cups milk
Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Stir well. Cook on low for 4 hours.
